This super easy recipe works wonderfully as a freezer to slow cooker meal, and it’s not as spicy as it sounds.
2 lbs boneless stewing beef cube, such as chuck, brisket, or bottom round
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped (we used black garlic but regular is fine if you don’t have it)
2 Tbs cassareep, (this is like molasses which we used because we couldn’t find cassareep)
1 habanero pepper
1c roasted red peppers
1c frozen chopped spinach (this thickens the sauce and sneaks veggies in for the kids)
1tsp ginger
1Tbs panela brown sugar
2 strips orange, zest
1tsp thyme
1tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3 whole cloves
1T beef boil lion powder or 2 cubes
Throw everything in the slow cooker.
Set on low 6h.
If you want to make it as a freezer dump meal then cook for 8h on lie straight out of the freezer.
